The project aimed to implement a secure and shared cloud system for planning and accounting and management control capable of:
optimize the budgeting process for internal and external projects;
calculate the performance indicators (KPIs) for each project and for each company department. The KPIs allow the management to verify the achievement of the weekly and monthly objectives by each office and to analyze the causes of the deviations;
send alerts to project managers when deadlines are approaching and in the event of critical events (budget overruns, delays in deliveries by suppliers, incomplete or missing administrative documents, ...);
improve the management of human resources and the modulation of the effort on individual projects;
reduce management time and costs.
Planning and accounting and management control
COGNAC (COntrollo di GestioNe e ContAbilità) is a cloud platform for business management control accessible from any device and operating system.
The COGNAC modular system consists of:
COGNAC-DBMS: relational database on Microsoft SQL Server Azure platform. The database manages the data logic through functions, stored procedures and triggers. Furthermore, the generation of reports takes place within the database in special tables.
COGNAC-INTERFACE: is the database user interface implemented as a web app on the .NET platform.
COGNAC-REPMAN and COGNAC-REPVIEWER are respectively the automatic generator of the various types of reports and the user interface that allows viewing them; both take advantage of the cloud for data storage.
COGNAC-TRIGGER: has the task of starting the generation and publication of all reports, in response to specific events.
COGNAC has brought a series of benefits to the company:
introduction of workflows for internal company procedures;
48% savings on business management times thanks to the automatic generation of registered documents and cloud management;
35% savings on management costs;
more than 120 corrective decisions taken based on data analysis;
more than 700 exported management reports, divided into 15+ categories.
